Honkarakenne launches Honka Pa-La collection at the Housing Fair

A residence for the child or the grandmother, a sauna with a spa compartment, a warehouse, an atelier, a workshop, a gym, a guest room, a rental flat… Situations in life change and needs along with them. A modular and aesthetic building in the compound is the answer to the changing challenges of everyday life, enhancing everyday luxury, relaxation, comfort, togetherness, the flexibility of living, storage space or recreational possibilities. A child’s starter home converts easily into a spa, a guest room into a workshop, a rental flat into a warehouse, etc. The most important is that the building serves the needs of each situation in life in the best possible way.

The Honka Pa-La outbuilding was born from our own need. The pilot building is currently used as working space of our studio. Five designers of our team work there, for example, on hospital and cinema projects. We had a crying need of extra space, and our residence/studio lot had just the right amount of permitted building volume left. The destination was implemented ”screw-based”, and so the almost 70 year-old apple and cherry trees of the modest detached house remained untouched to adorn the yard. In the neighbourhood, almost everybody has need for extra space, each according to his or her own interests. We made this collection precisely for these changing and most varying needs.
