Artist’s life far from home

The most exotic aspects of an artist’s life are airports, lonely nights far from home, foreign languages and the hustle and bustle in the streets. The picturesque views from the hotel room window over the city and all too copious breakfasts. Dinners with museum people with long conversations about life in those parts.

When the exhibition opens, it is time to get back home and create something new. To walk familiar streets with the crunching soft snow under your feet, thinking up new projects: Matrix and Avatar layers, Riisa and Motti. To cycle from one site to the other, your breath steaming of the freeze, enjoying the familiar, safe Savonian surroundings.
