Kuopio University Hospital renovation phase 1 topped out with the power of pea soup
The topping-out ceremony of the first phase of the renovation of the Kuopio University Hospital were celebrated in a cheerful ambiance in Kuopio. At the very start, the guests were taken on a round of the worksite. It was very interesting especially for someone like me who had not yet had the chance to peek into the facilities. The project as a whole is enormous. There are about 18 600 m2 of facilities to be renovated, but at least on Friday the situation looked very good, and indeed, the schedule has been kept.
After the round of the worksite, it was time for speeches and presentations – and of course for pea soup and beer, as is customary. It was reminded in the speeches that the last ten kilometres of the marathon project lie still ahead. With us at Partanen & Lamusuo Ltd, the planning work started already in the autumn of 2012, so it was great to celebrate successful work, even if kilometres still remain.
